The Greg Haugen Foundation
Greg Haugen and Patrick Dzurcanin founded the Greg Haugen Foundation in September 2007. The concept behind the Greg Haugen Foundation has been in development since mid-2006. In addition to the citizens from our local community who have pledged their support, our organization has worked diligently to garner the support of many great athletes and celebrities to support our cause. Working in unison, we will champion the fight against Autism. Over the last 18 months, we have built an extremely strong core that will assist the Greg Haugen Foundation in creating exciting and unique fundraisers—Champions for Children.
Mission Statement
The Greg Haugen Foundation will champion the cause to fight autism. Our organization will work to find the cure and the cause, and provide a safe, healthy environment for all the kids of our community, guided by the greatest champions in the world.
Goals and Objectives
The Greg Haugen Foundation and Boxing Center has set a goal to raise the funds required to build a learning center/school program specially designed for the autistic youth of our community. We hope to provide the children and their parents with a place where they can be assured that they will receive the proper care and curriculum provided by highly trained teachers and staff. The kids need a setting that will supply the appropriate environment to learn and succeed. The Greg Haugen Foundation has also created a world-class boxing program for the youth of our community. We plan to create more new youth programs for our community. For example: scholarship programs, educational programs, counseling, nutrition programs and additional athletic programs to accompany our world-class boxing program.
The goal of the Greg Haugen Foundation and Boxing Center is to create a program that will have a positive influence of kids who need guidance and support. We will aggressively pursue every avenue possible to establish the kind of community center that will furbish the positive role models that generate new aspirations and dreams in our youth.
The Greg Haugen Foundation and Boxing Center has set a short-term goal to become a leader in community service. We will provide a safe environment in a positive setting where all the kids of our community will have the opportunity to learn many important life lessons from great athletes and teachers from the past, present, and future. World Champions and Hall of Famers from boxing and all sports have pledged their support.
Our mid-term goals are to inspire our whole community to support community programs like the Greg Haugen Foundation and Boxing Center. We intend to raise the funds necessary to support this program by working diligently with our supporters and endorsers to make our fundraisers extremely unique, one-of-a-kind, and a priceless experience.
The long-term goals of the Greg Haugen Foundation and Boxing Center are to give the next generation of local kids a chance to succeed in all aspect of life. We hope to, in time, add programs for all sports in the future. The Greg Haugen Foundation and Boxing Center hopes to branch out into the surrounding communities within the next 3-5 years.
