The Greg Haugen Foundation and Boxing Center will dedicate this year’s events to Hank Kaplan, a great humanitarian and a pillar in the sport of boxing. Mr. Kaplan spent his life helping others in need; Hank ran a charity program for twelve years and was instrumental in preserving many lives. His hard work and dedication to help people in need has inspired the Greg Haugen Foundation to continue this work for the next generation. Hank was a great friend to many, regardless if it was Muhammad Ali or a kid he had only just met, Hank treated everyone with great respect. To Hank, each person was as important as the next, this is the mark of a great man. We send our condolences to Hank’s family and everyone Mr. Kaplan touched throughout his life. Mr. Kaplan will be greatly missed by the boxing community and the entire world.
